Hey Healthy Panthers!
I hope you guys are all working hard and doing well in your classes. Just remember to take it one day at a time and keep your eyes on Thanksgiving break!
I understand it is crunch time right now with papers and group projects but I encourage you to try to step away from the books, periodically. Set aside time and go clear your mind with some light cardio or a lifting session during your day! I promise you will notice a difference in your levels of stress as we head into finals season.
I know it seems impossible to cram in more activities into your life, but you will not regret breaking a sweat on the elliptical after studying for hours on end. Letting your mind escape from being tucked away inside the chambers of a chemistry book will let you return to your school work with a fresh start!
Giving your brain something else to focus on, like leg pressing a certain amount of weight or biking a distance under a set time, will help it absorb the information easier. By breaking up the monotony of studying with a workout, you will notice a boost in your energy and a sense of motivation to finish your task. Trust me, when you return to your dorm, your homework will not seem as daunting after a few earned laps around the track with your favorite playlist.
Also, I’m reaching out to y’all for some more blog post topics! I’m open for suggestions and I would love for you to comment with any ideas or questions you have regarding nutrition and fitness.
Because my goal is to help you stay healthy in your transition into college, please don’t be afraid to ask for information on food groups and workouts!
So break up your homework schedule with added workouts, comment with any issues/ ideas/ questions you have about fitness, and I wish you all the best with your health and with your studies!
